MEET OUR TEAM

Our Board of Directors is made up of professionals from a variety of background and experiences, who are dedicated to the organization’s mission. The Board members are leaders who strive to support and promote excellence in our service. Board members are responsible for overseeing the formulation and evaluation of policies, establishing service levels, and approving expenditures. Each member equally believes in the increase of youth sports participation and the healthy development of young athletes.

Malik Wilds

Executive Director

Coach Malik Wilds founded Momentum Youth Sports Training to combat childhood obesity through the power of sports. Growing up in a low-income community, Malik witnessed firsthand the effects of unhealthy eating habits and lack of physical activity on children in his neighborhood. Determined to make a difference, he combined his 40 years of sports experience with his desire to help others and created an organization that is committed to instilling healthy habits in children from a young age. Our programs not only promote healthy eating and athletics but also teach kids valuable life skills such as teamwork, discipline, and goal-setting. Partnerships with local schools, community centers, and sports organizations allow us to maximize our impact on the lives of young people and helping them lead longer, healthier, and happier lives.
